A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Lead a team of storeroom professionals to excellence in the optimization of working capital, leveraging competitively advantaged agreements and overall project execution.
  • Manage and be accountable for storeroom operations across three facilities with high levels of spend and inventory in high volume, multi-commodity environments.
  • Recommend and/or support implementation of buying strategies that promote cost effective purchasing decisions.
  • Create an environment where all daily actions emphasize safety first and adhere to environmental compliance and internal financial control policies.
  • Manage sourcing process from supplier onboarding including: preparation and issuance of the requests for quotation, vendor communications and progress tracking throughout duration of the quoting process, negotiation of commercial items and purchasing terms & conditions, and finally preparation of quote summary/evaluation documents.
  • Conduct supplier pricing analysis to ensure competitive pricing is being achieved sources in line with Strategic Sourcing Strategies.
  • Prepare purchase orders with selected suppliers aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Supporting our internal clients with their purchase needs. Develop ideas and strategies to improve process and executional efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
  • Work proactively with other capabilities to create superior value and meet Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) expectations.
  • Stay connected to any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and advise others of potential impacts.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job related tasks as needed.

What You Will Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with SAP ARIBA software would be appreciated.
  • Technical experience (engineering, six-sigma, program management or relatable experience).
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 core suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Teams, etc.).
  • Fluency in English and German is a must.


What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of Contract Excellence (Legal and Commercial).
  • Float Glass and Automotive Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with eSourcing and ERP systems.
